HUMBLE AND GRATEFUL

I received the most wondeful gift from you guys today...i'm not a great musician and i do not pretend to be one but i do know a wonderful instrument when i see one...who would thought that i can have a Taylor guitar...probably the most beautiful guitar out there =) i really had no idea. it was awesome...but what touched me and humbled me, more so than the guitar, is when Hetty told me that my church members had planned this for the whole year...and i can't explain in words how i felt when i read those wonderful and encouraging words from each one of you today in the card...to be quite frank, i do not deserve any of these. i know my flaws, my shortcomings...you guys deserve someone so much better than i. But thank you...thank you for demonstrating God's wonderful grace to me...thank you for considering me as your pastor and thank you for loving me unconditionally...

hi pastor ben. donald and i have known you for almost 10 years...from membership bible study (we were your first students!) to premarital counseling to our wedding, and to the baptism of joy and melody, you were our pastor...our faithful pastor whom we can't thank enough. thank you for your patience, your encouragement, wisdom, and perseverance. we look forward to another wonderful year - - 2010...and we are anxious to see what the Lord has planned for our Covenenat Community Church. =)

Sunday Worship 12:00 PM

Welcome to Covenant Community Church. The word "covenant" captures the vision of our church. Through the Covenant of Grace, we have been redeemed as God's own possession. In Christ, we are now His people and the Lord is our God. For this reason, we worship Him. We desire to be a community of true worshippers in spirit and truth. In His presence, worship gives us the assurance of God's covenantal promise: "I will be your God and you will be my people." This is the heart of the covenant. That is why we invite you to join us. So if you are weak and seek rest, and if you need grace and God's assurance, please come join us in our worship.

Covenant Community Church is a new church plant in the San Fernando Valley area, with the purpose to preach the Gospel of Christ to bring glory and honor to God. Our mission is to establish a faithful local church with emphasis on family by reaching young professionals as well as families.

We know that there are many churches out there. And making a decision on which church to attend can be both overwhelming and exhausting. But it's the most important decision you can make for you and your family. So we ask that you spend much time in prayer and in His word. And if time permits, please get to know us as well. Fellowship

"And they were continually devoting themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer" (Acts 2:42)

One of the greatest priviliges of being a Christian is to enter into the church's fellowship. The word fellowship means to "share one another's burden." We as the members of God's family admonish and build one another up. At Covenant Community Church, we consider fellowship to be of utmost importance. Beliefs

Both qahal (OT) and ekklesis (NT) define church as "the gathering of God's people." By definition, we learn two things: First, the church is an organism, not organization. Second, the church consists of all those who are truly saved through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. This complete gathering of God's people is what we call "the invisible church." For it consists of every believer from every age and every land. This "invisible church" is, however, manifested visibly through a gathering of a local church. For this reason, a local church is both confessional and connectional: "One body and one Spirit...one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God." (Eph 4:4-6). Thus, this is our confession and our faith in Jesus Christ.
